English Tuition
At Home
I offer home tuition in English, from pre-school to 'A' level. The tuition is individually tailored to suit the needs of the student. The lessons can be linked to the curriculum or specifically built to help the student in particular areas. I often use my experience in creative writing to bring an extra element to the lessons, so that the most reluctant student can enjoy English in a way they may not find possible in school or college.
When lessons are more general, or based on creative writing, any skills learnt can be transferred back into their school work. This means that even if it is not curriculum based, the student can use their new-found confidence to improve at school.
Sometimes the main aim is to interest a student who has never enjoyed English or would rather eat sprouts than pick up a book! I love working with children who have decided they do not like reading because it is a challenge and a joy to introduce them to books, stories and all they have to offer.

Online
I also offer English tuition online, with the same range of exercises and expertise as the home tuition. Exercises are sent via email, or in the post for a small extra charge. I am also available for real-time online discussions as part of this service.
